How do I start a career in digital marketing? | 5 Relevance | 2 years ago | Chymo27 | Digital Marketing
How do I start a career in digital marketing? When I first started my work in content marketing (one aspect of digital marketing), I sucked. I started a blog on the free version of Wordpress and peaked at a couple hundred visitors. I wrote about many different topics because I wasn’t sure what to write about. I self published books on Amazon and my first two books sold less than 50 copies. I designed my own book covers in Microsoft powerpoint. Seriously. I wrote on LinkedIn. Got a few likes, but mostly from people I knew. I also wrote on Quora. I got a couple of upvotes, but nothing too crazy. Through it all, I kept going. Why? Because I loved to share stories. And while I sucked at telling them in the beginning, a curious thing began to happen. I got better over time. I started to test different writing styles (while still staying true to my voice). I’d observe what styles people would like to read. It became pretty clear that people loved: Authentic, personal stories that showcased how someone overcame a struggle Quick hitting bullet point lists that added value to their lives Articles that actually taught something to the person that could be utilized in the real world Life lessons to help people live better lives Over time, I ended up writing a book that was an Amazon bestseller in the “Resumes” category (over 40,000 Kindle Downloads), went viral on Quora (over 13.4 million views and 45,766 followers and got published in Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, Inc, and Time. I ended up acquiring skills in content marketing because I started to do the work. And I kept going. Even when things got hard. It’s as simple as that. So if you want to start a career in digital marketing, my advice is to put in the work to build and refine your skill set. If you’re completely new to learning marketing and want to pursue a career there, I recommend going to an online intensive academy that can teach you the foundation of what you need. If you need help picking a good one, send me a note and I’m happy to help guide you.
How do I make money online? | 3 Relevance | 3 years ago | CHIMA CHINARU | Make Money Online With YouTube
Making money online is the sweet spot in the gig economy that individuals seek. We've uncovered several feasible choices for you, whether you want to be a six-figure social media influencer or just supplement your regular income with some online side gigs. 1. Pick up freelance work online Make money online by using services like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer. These websites provide opportunities to work as a freelancer in a range of fields, including writing, programming, design, marketing, data entry, and virtual assistant. Do you speak a second language? Check out sites like Gengo or Blend Express for ideas, or start your own. Keep track of the going rate for the type of work you perform, no matter what freelancing you do, so you know if you're charging too much or too little. 2. Test websites and apps UserTesting is another place where you may make money from home. You get compensated for your opinions on how successfully — or poorly — particular websites and apps worked. To get accepted, you must pass a brief test, after which you will be paid according to the type of test. UserTesting does not provide an accurate figure. 3. Pick up tasks on Amazon's Mechanical Turk Even in this day and age, some tasks still require a human touch. Companies frequently outsource these tasks to firms such as Amazon's Mechanical Turk. The tasks you'll be assigned as a "worker" can be time-consuming — identifying photographs, transcribing movies, classifying receipts — and can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Temporary employers, often known as "requesters," determine the fee for each activity and receive final approval before paying you. That leaves room for scams, so do your homework. Join a community like the MTurk Crowd forum or the MTurk and Turker Nation subreddits to avoid shady merchants. These forums and fellow "workers" can answer questions and provide an accurate estimate of how much money you may anticipate earning. 4. Take surveys for money You can earn money from home by doing internet surveys, but don't expect to be rich. Survey sites often do not pay well, and many are more beneficial for earning gift cards than cash. Swagbucks and Survey Junkie are two of the more popular survey services. 5. Make money from your blog as an affiliate If you have a blog with a reasonable amount of traffic, you may make money by joining an affiliate network. Affiliates (you) are compensated when someone clicks over from the website to the partner site and purchases something. This is how some bloggers make a lot of money. What are the best ways to get rich with YouTube? | 3 Relevance | 3 years ago | CHIMA CHINARU | YouTube Ads
YouTube celebrities are today's self-made celebrities—people who have built an audience by providing video material aimed at teaching, entertaining, reviewing, and being wonderful on the internet. Making money on YouTube may not be your primary motivation for launching a channel, but the earning potential is a pleasant surprise once you learn how many they are. Fortunately, there are numerous unique methods to generate money on YouTube. Your audience may unlock the earning potential of your YouTube channel, as is often the case with Instagram influencers or bloggers, but it is the creation of numerous revenue sources, via side hustles or enterprises, that allows you to make money. 7 ways to make money on YouTube 1. Join the YouTube Partner Program Ads will most likely be the first revenue stream you investigate. Joining the YouTube Partner Program and setting up monetization is a critical step if you want to earn money on YouTube without making videos or as a content provider. You must agree to abide by all of YouTube's monetization policies and reside in a nation or area where the YouTube Partner Program is offered. Once you've accumulated 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the previous year, you can apply for monetization. 2. Sell products or merchandise There are numerous goods to sell that can assist you in making money with your YouTube channel. Selling merchandise—t-shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags, snapbacks, you name it—provides benefits in addition to cash. Merchandise broadens your exposure by extending your online brand and personality into the actual world, and it strengthens your engagement with your fans by allowing them to practice "buying" into what you're doing. Selling branded swag is simpler than it appears. Using freelance services like Fiverr, you may order affordable designs specialized for certain products, such as t-shirts. When it comes to managing orders, you may combine your store with services like DSers or one of the many print-on-demand suppliers that handle shipping, fulfillment, and customer support, allowing you to reap the benefits of a print-on-demand business with less effort on your side. 3. Crowdfund your next creative project When money is the only thing standing between a concept and its realization, crowdfunding is a viable option. If your idea is interesting enough, you can ask your own audience and the crowdfunding community to pitch in to help you acquire better equipment, hire actors, or cover other production costs. Many successful crowdfunded creative projects provide a sneak peek or "trailer" to pique people's interest, so consider making a video introducing your idea or providing a taste of what it'll be like, like this popular Kickstarter for Kung Fury, a short film homage to '80s action flicks. Popular crowdfunding portals with a track record of successful YouTuber campaigns include: Kickstarter. One of the most well-known crowdfunding platforms, ideal for backing innovative products and creative ventures. Set an attainable financing objective because you will only be able to secure it if you meet it. Indiegogo. A crowdfunding alternative with more flexible funding choices. 4. Let your audience support you through “fan funding” You can set up "fan financing" streams to collect donations from your audience in the same way that you would when crowdfunding a project. As a creative, you're adding your voice to the internet without forcing your audience to pay. So, if you provide good material, your audience may be eager to support you on a regular basis. Many fan-funding platforms provide producers with another outlet for consumers to discover their content as well as a means to engage and reward their most dedicated fanbase. 5. License your content to the media If you make a viral video with mass appeals, such as an amusing clip showcasing your dog, you can license your content for money. If your videos go viral, TV news outlets, morning shows, internet news sites, and other creators may contact you about using them. You can also list your films in a marketplace, such as Trusted Media Brands, where your material will be easier to find and purchase by the relevant people. 6. Work with brands as an influencer Brands are increasingly investing in influencer marketing and sponsorships, allocating their generally huge advertising budgets to influencers who have previously earned the trust of their audiences. If you can negotiate the correct terms, this opens up a huge possibility for you as a creator. Brendan Gahan, a YouTube marketing specialist and influencer, suggests calculating your baseline flat rate by multiplying the number of views your videos regularly receive by $0.05 to $0.15 each view (which is around what many brands are willing to pay for views via YouTube ads). 7. Become an affiliate marketer Affiliate marketing is the practice of receiving a commission by advertising a product or service manufactured by another company. You can work as an affiliate marketer for brands, incorporating product placements, endorsements, and other forms of content. You must, however, disclose the partnerships to your viewers in your films. This is especially effective if you evaluate things on your YouTube channel. Because there is no risk on the brand's end (they only pay when they make sales), getting started is usually easy. ClickBank (1% to 75% profit, depending on the vendor) and Amazon's Affiliate network (up to 10% per sale) are two popular affiliate programs. You can also contact brands in your field that have their own affiliate programs, which is prevalent in the eCommerce industry.
